This adventure park, near Winter Haven,
is the oldest theme park in Florida, Cypress Gardens
adventure park was a more gentle environment, without
massive roller coasters, and with fantastic flower
displays, through which the visitors could wander
at their own pace.
Having been closed suddenly in 2003, only to be
resurrected over eighteen months later, now with a
conservation order on the land, meaning that it cannot
be built upon.
There have been rides added to the theme park, so
that it could pull in younger customers. |

Although Cypress Gardens has had to adapt in order to survive,
the atmosphere in the park remains much the same. The new
rides added by the Gardens are traditional and somewhat
shop-bought, though there are intentions to change that
within the nest year or so, when the park will rebuild the
Starliner wood roller coaster. The amusement roller coaster
and the water park are attractive enough on their own, and
remain very popular.

The gardens have massive trees that
frame plants that burst into flower in the summer.
The large amounts of trees throughout the park provide
excellent cover and shade, and the butterfly conservatory
will prove a hit with young and old alike.
It has been named as one of the world’s most
beautiful gardens, and the Cypress Gardens experience
is of being one with nature as you walk through vast
woodlands or carefully tended gardens, visit one of
the water shows, or even just wander over to the massive
lake.

With an aquarium, aviary, reptile centre and even a Crocodile
Isle, the gardens have plenty to offer the tourist. The
price was lowered when the park reopened in 2004, and the
shows are definitely worth going to see, and certainly provides
you with an opportunity to rest.
Here at Tickets at Half Price you will find all of the
tickets you need to make your trip as fantastic as possible
and for the least amount of money.
