Welcome to the world’s alligator capital! Gatorland is
spread across 110 acres of sun-filled Central Florida,
near the border between Orlando and Kissimmee.
It is an
alligator and wildlife sanctuary that has served to entertain
and enthrall visitors from all over the world since 1949. Buy Gratorland Tickets Online. The Park
has a concrete alligator head for an entrance, the picture
of which is recognized the world over.
Alligator
Island houses the largest reptiles in Gatorland. Female
crocodiles lay their eggs here during the nesting season. |

Its most famous resident is Alf, a 1000-pound monster.
You can see him up close, basking in the Florida sun.
The island has a palm tree that houses many species of
birds native to Florida. Heavy discount on Gratorland
Tickets. Large numbers of bats sleep in the “bat
house” during the day, venturing out at night to feed.

Lily’s
Pad is a great place for children to cool off, with slides,
splash zones and jets of cool water. So do remember to
pack your children’s bathing suits for your trip to Gatorland!
There is a special pool, next to Lily’s Pad, for Jimmy
and Dean, two tortoises from islands in the Indian Ocean.
The
Park has a railroad as well, with Fun Face Painting for
kids, just outside the station. Children will love the
experience of glitter and Spiderman faces.
The Breeding
Marsh and Bird Rookery is an excellent place to observe
the courtship, mating and nesting behavior of the reptiles
and birds that live in this part of the Park. |
Jungle
Crocs is not for the fainthearted-it houses man-eaters
from Africa and the Indo-Pacific region. Sultan, with
his harem of lady crocs is a particularly ferocious and
bad animal. American and Cuban crocodiles also live in
Jungle Crocs. Both are endangered species. You
can purchase Gratorland Attraction Tickets online.
The Cuban crocodiles are especially dangerous as they
can leap high out of the water to catch prey.
Take
a self-guided tour through Swamp Walk, to get a picture
of how Florida was like before settlers drained the swamps.
This is a natural ecosystem without any flora or fauna
introduced from outside.
Flamingo
Lagoon is home to a colony of American Flamingoes. They
are also known as Firebirds as they are known to inhabit
volcanic mud flats. Flamingo Lagoon also has many species
of wild birds.
Friendly
goats, macaws, chickens and deer greet you at Allie’s
Barnyard. Children can play with and feed these gentle
animals. Buy Gratorland Attraction Tickets and
enjoy. A gang of friendly and colorful lorikeets
awaits you at the Very Merry Aviary, while you can take
a close look at venomous snakes from behind a strike-proof
barrier at Gatorland’s Snakes of Florida exhibit.
There
is a 7000-foot gift shop with everything from T-shirts
to custom-made alligator-skin furniture. End your tour
with memorabilia for your home and for friends-you can
also shop on-line.
