The Islands of Adventure2, covering 110 acres of land,
is part of the Universal Studios resort in Orlando, Florida.
The theme park is made up of 5 islands, each with a theme
all to itself.
All of the islands are chock-full of rides
and activities, as well as the usual places for shopping
and eating.
The Islands are themed around cartoon characters,
mythology, and dinosaurs, and each island bombards you with
its theme until you are lost in its world.

Hero island is themed around comic book heroes; the Toon
Lagoon offers terrifying water-coasters; Jurassic Park shows
you dinosaurs as you have never imagined them, and the Lost
Continent dips you into the world of myths and legends,
and brings you out amazed and surprised, and the Seuss Landing,
based upon the Cat-in-the-Hat and other Dr Seuss stories,
is as chaotic as you may imagine. The Marvel Super Hero
Island hosts one of the central attractions: the ‘Amazing
Adventures of Spider Man’ ride, which uses 3-D to
amaze and bewilder you.
