The palace
is set in the mystical land of Anandapur, proliferated by
animals probably unheard of.
The heart of India throbs and pounds in
Tiger Forest, a resplendent setting of crumbling embellished
walls. Above all, it is the haven for the Asian tigers (Panthera
tigris).
Indigenous to Indonesia, the world’s
largest lizard also has a home in the Maharajah Jungle Trek
attraction. The Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoenis) is found
here, a huge, frequently solitary animal except when breeding
and eating.

The attraction is also a sanctuary to the
female Malayan Tapir (Tapirus Indicus), an endangered species.
The species’ skin is very tough, a hunter’s
favorite.
Another popular species in the Maharajah
Jungle Trek is the Gibbons, members of the ape family. The
males are hued black while the females golden.
On the other
hand, the Siamangs, recognized as the loudest of all land
mammals, can be found here.

The attraction also has a haven of bats. In the Bat Community,
Asian bat species such as the Rodrigues Fruit Bat (Pteropus
rodricensis) and the Malayan Flying Fox (Pteropus vampyrus)
stay alive in nocturnal repose. The latter is one of the
largest species of bats. Its wingspan reaches 6 feet.
Near the tigers’ section, a field
is alive with Elds Deer and Blackbuck. The Elds Deer is
an endangered species.
Meanwhile, the Blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra)
is hailed one of the fastest antelopes in the world, with
speeds reaching up to 50 miles per hour. The species have
the cork screw twisted horns.
In peaceful harmony with the mammals are
several species of birds. The Sarus Crane commands much
attention for its amazing height. As a matter of fact, it
is hailed the world's tallest flying bird. We have
a large collection for Maharaja Jungle Trek Tickets Online.
Outside the jungle trail, Mandala Gifts
offers theme-relevant souvenirs. Tiger apparels are also
available at this location.
